Leeds United booked their spot in the second round of the EFL Cup courtesy of a 3-0 win away to Salford City on Tuesday night.

It was a commanding performance from the Championship outfit, who proved to be far too strong for their League Two hosts.

Eddie Nketiah scoring on his debut will perhaps be the main story from Leeds’ point of view but the performance of Kalvin Phillips in the middle of the park was outstanding.

The 23-year-old was named the Man of the Match for his display, which was not much of a surprise.

And as expected, a number of Leeds fans have taken to social media to lavish praise on the midfielder, who was strongly linked with a move to Aston Villa during the summer.

The Whites managed to keep hold of the academy product, though, and he will be hoping to inspire his team to a successful season.

وقال بيولي لشبكة “سكاي سبورت إيطاليا”: “بالنظر إلى كيفية تدريب إبرا، لا يمكننا أن نتفاجأ، لأنه بطل، من الصعب الحفاظ على مستواه الحالي، حيث إنه عندما كان في حالة جيدة وبدأ سجل هدفين دائمًا تقريبًا، لكن هذه طبيعته”.

عندما تم استبداله، قام إبراهيموفيتش بالإشارة إلى مسؤولي ميلان في المدرجات والتي تعني “اثنين مجددًا” وبسؤال بيولي، هل كانت رسالة حول محادثات تمديد عقده؟، أجاب المدرب: “زلاتان سعيد معنا وأعتقد أن أفضل شيء في هذا الفريق هو أن اللاعبين سعداء”.

وتابع: “نحن مع نادٍ كبير، الكل يريد أن يقدم أداءً جيدًا وأعتقد أنه من الصواب أن يواصل اللعب، وأنه يفعل ذلك معنا”.

وأكمل بيولي: “إنه رياضي متحمس للغاية، ودقيق في الطريقة التي يعتني بها بجسده مع كل شيء من النظام الغذائي إلى التعافي، إنه متعب، لكنك لن تبقى على هذا المستوى لفترة طويلة دون الاعتناء بنفسك”.

وأستطرد: “إنه سباق في الوقت الحاضر بين اللاعبين للوصول إلى التدريب مبكرًا والمغادرة في وقت متأخر عن أي شخص آخر، نحن نستمتع بأنفسنا ونريد أن نقدم أفضل ما لدينا”.

Manchester United are set to seal the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka after he caught the eye during a stellar campaign at Crystal Palace, ranking third throughout Premier League for tackles per match.

The Englishman’s arrival could see him replace Ashley Young, who certainly struggled at right-back last season as part of a Red Devils defence that conceded 65 Premier League goals.

The 33-year-old’s commitment cannot be questioned, but he is no longer good enough to start on a regular basis for a club of Manchester United stature. He has lost his pace and his output dropped from four assists in the previous campaign to just two.

Aaron Cikaya, who can be seen in the video above filling out his Panini Tabloid, believes that Wan-Bissaka would be a massive improvement on Young, who has now been at Old Trafford for eight years.

Leeds United fans on Twitter are hoping that their team sign Erling Haland after his remarkable display of goalscoring at the U20 World Cup.

The Norwegian made headlines as he scored an incredible nine goals against Honduras this week.

The striker was born in Leeds and supported the Whites as a youngster due to his Dad’s affinity with the club.

His father is none other than Alf-Inge Haland who played for the Yorkshire outfit between 1997 and 2000.

The striker has previously said that his dream is to win the Premier League with Leeds United, and with Marcelo Bielsa’s side narrowly missing out on promotion last season members of the fanbase are calling for him to be signed.

If Victor Orta did want to make a move for the Norwegian, then it would come at a price as his stock will have skyrocketed after his record-breaking performance at the U20 World Cup.

Leeds United fans on Twitter are praying that Phil Hay’s most recent update on Marcelo Bielsa’s future at the club is accurate.

Speculation has been rampant in the period since Leeds were knocked out of the playoffs, with many experts and fans growing in concern that the Argentine won’t be at Elland Road next season.

The Whites have been completely transformed under Bielsa, and it looked like their 15-year wait to return to the Premier League would finally be over before they fell at the final hurdle.

Of course, promotion to the top flight remains the main goal for the Yorkshire club, and fans are still confident that the 63-year-old is the man to take them up.

The Yorkshire Evening Post writer gave an encouraging update for the fanbase on Friday morning, posting: “My understanding from people in Argentina is that Bielsa is minded to stay put give it another go at Leeds next season. But as ever, you’d be loath to second guess him.”

This update sparked a huge reaction from the fanbase with almost every Whites supporter hoping that Hay was right in what he was saying.

أحمد سامي كان ضمن صفقة خماسية أبرمها نادي سيراميكا كليوباترا مع مصر للمقاصة، ضمت محمد إبراهيم، ومحمد مسعد، ومحمد توني، ومحمد محسن، وتم الاتفاق على كل تفاصيل الصفقة، وحصل سيراميكا كليوباترا على استغناء موجه ومختوم من المقاصة يقضي بضم اللاعبين الخمسة، ونفذ الأربعة الآخرون الاتفاق بالكامل، غير أن أحمد سامي أخل باتفاقه، بعد تلقيه عرضًا بمبلغ 18 مليون جنيه للتوقيع مع بيراميدز.

ظل الموقف معلقًا لبضع أسابيع حاول خلالها أحمد سامي بكل السبل الضغط على ناديه الأصلي مصر للمقاصة، والذي كان من المفترض ألا يصدر استغناء موجهًا آخر لنادي بيراميدز، بعد أن أصدر بالفعل استغناء موجهًا ومختومًا، يقضي بالموافقة على انتقال أحمد سامي إلى نادي سيراميكا كليوباترا.

وظهر أحمد سامي داخل مقر بيراميدز في مران الاثنين، وأعلن النادي انتقال اللاعب لصفوفه بشكل رسمي، وقرر سيراميكا كليوباترا التحرك بشكل يحفظ حقوقه القانونية، وفقا للأوراق الرسمية التي وقعها مع مسئولي مصر للمقاصة، الذين ورطوا أنفسهم  بالإخلال باتفاق رسمي وموثق، وأصدروا استغناء موجها آخر لنادي بيراميدز، رغم أنهم سبق وأن أصدروا نفس الاستغناء لـ سيراميكا كليوباترا.

وأدى نيدفيد جلسة في «الجيم»، ثم قام بالجري حول الملعب، في خطوة جديدة ضمن البرنامج العلاجي والتأهيلي، الذي يقوم بتنفيذه.

وحرص الجهاز الطبي بالنادي على الحديث مع اللاعب للاطمئنان على حالته، التي تحسنت بشكل كبير في المرحلة الأخيرة.

جدير بالذكر أن الأهلي نجح في التأهل إلي الدور النهائي من بطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا بعدما انتصر على الوداد المغربي بخمس أهداف مقابل هدف بمجموع مباراتي الذهاب والإياب.

Arsenal fans on Twitter are one of the most fickle and demanding fan bases out there. Nothing is ever right for the Gunners, and ahead of their clash with Watford at Vicarage Road tonight, the supporters all seem to want the returning Granit Xhaka to start in the middle of their midfield after his injury lay-off.

The Swiss midfielder is a superb option for the Gunners and when he plays he makes Unai Emery’s side tick. In the early days of Xhaka’s career at The Emirates he came in for plenty of abuse from his own fans, and now it seems that the stick he’s taken over the years isn’t all down to him. As soon as he’s been given a chance to start alongside Lucas Torreira he’s shown what he can do creatively from deep.

Later tonight, Watford will surely be set to sit deep and look to use the pace of Gerard Deulofeu and Andre Gray who will be playing off of Troy Deeney and looking to hit the Gunners on the break. However, when Arsenal go forward they’ll be up against a tough Watford side who will be tough to break down, so having Xhaka’s passing range from deep could be key to getting three points on the road.
