When it comes to Fantasy Premier League, you forward options are often the most important decisions to make before the start of each new season – and this one proves no different to the rest.

There is an abundance of strikers and wingers to choose from now, with plenty of forwards last season heading into double figures for their goalscoring tallies. This new season has seen plenty of new additions from new signings at the big clubs, all the way to the new players coming through from the clubs promoted from the Championship.

No matter what, you can always rely on your go-to’s from each season, as well as finding room for those hidden gems and cheaper players to help fill out your squad whilst making sure you build the best starting XI and bench possible.

With that being said, we’re going to take a look at four options up top that could be a make or break for your FPL team, ranging from all prices at any club in the league.

Aleksandar Mitrovic – £6.0m

The Serbian international is back in the Premier League with Fulham after their prometon via the Playoff final against Brentford. Last season in the Championship, Mitrović managed 26 goals in 41 appearances for the Cottagers – and in his last season in the Premier League, he still scored 11 goals for the club despite their relegation in the 2018/19 season.

The 25-year-old will currently cost you just £6.0m, a great price for a striker of his ability and proficiency, and has only been selected by 25.7% of users. Along with an ICT index rank of 512 of 521, Mitrović should be in everyone’s starting XI this season.

Anthony Martial – £9.0m

Last season saw the Frenchman enjoy his best goalscoring season for Manchester United yet, managing 17 goals in 33 appearances. During that time, he picked up a total of 200 points and certainly struck up a great partnership with Marcus Rashford both before and after the Englishman’s injury.

This season has only seen 13.8% of user select Martial, likely due to his £9.0m price tag – but don’t let that scare you off. Now that the 24-year-old has found his feet in a Red Devils shirt, I can’t see that slowing down now, and he would be a great option in your starting XI if you give him the chance.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – £7.2m

Everton’s No.9 has certainly shown what he is about in the Premier League last campaign.

The 23-year-old scored 13 goals for the Toffees last season, amassing 126 points by the end of the year, and I don’t see that being the end of the Englishman’s goalscoring form. This season has seen Carlo Ancelotti sign three new midfielders in Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and James Rodriguez, with the latter being the most important for Calvert-Lewin.

Rodriguez will bring a new attacking dimension for Everton, and I can see Calvert-Lewin benefitting greatly from this. This season the striker will only cost you £7.2m and has only been selected by 24% of users.

Neal Maupay – £6.5m

The French striker has been something of a revelation for Brighton. Since 2016, Glenn Murray was a fantastic goal scorer for the Seagulls, but the 2018/19 season was far from Murray’s brilliance – and this led to the now 36-year-old being side-lined due to injuries and his age.

In steps Neal Maupay, and suddenly Brighton have themselves a real goalscoring striker in their hands. Last season was Maupay’s first for the club, and the 24-year-old managed 10 goals in 37 appearances, totaling 131 points for the campaign.

Maupay can currently be picked up for just £6.5m. Only 2.1% of users have selected him, meaning he has certainly gone under the radar.

Com o imenso apoio do torcedor que não parava de gritar nas arquibancadas nenhum segundo, o Fluminense começou melhor a partida. Mesmo sem Fred, suspenso, a articulação das jogadas planejada por Levir Culpi era feita com rapidez. Logo aos oito, Cícero cabeceou e Gerson desviou, obrigando Weverton, do Atlético-PR, fazer grande defesa.

Do banco, Paulo Autuori, técnico do Atlético-PR, gesticulava para tentar fazer seu time mudar o ritmo de jogo. Em campo, pouco faziam, deixando espaços para o Fluminense. Aos 25 e 26, Wellington Silva e Osvaldo tiveram boas chances ofensivas, por exemplo, mas falharam na hora da finalização, um ponto comum da equipe durante a etapa inicial.

Uma resposta do Atlético-PR surgiu apenas aos 31 minutos. Eduardo achou posição para finalizar e mandou para o gol defendido por Diego Cavalieri. O chute saiu fraco, porém foi perigoso, acertando a trave. O Fluminense, neste momento, recuou um pouco e quase levou o gol aos 36 e 37, quando Walter finalizou para fora e Vinicius acertou o travessão, salvando de novo os cariocas.

Fluminense e Atlético-PR voltaram para o segundo tempo sem substituições. E o Tricolor retornou para a partida com maior gás. Aos seis, Gustavo Scarpa achou Magno Alves. que tocou para Osvaldo. Na hora do chute, Thiago Heleno quase fez contra, mas salvou os paranaenses.

Aos 19 minutos da etapa final, Levir Culpi resolveu mudar. Sacou Gerson e Osvaldo, colocando Edson e Marcos Junior, respectivamente. E foi deste último que saiu o gol do título. Magno Alves ganhou corrida de Paulo André e tocou para Marcos Junior. Ele disparou e finalizou com perfeição. A torcida tricolor vai ao delírio e precisou esperar poucos minutos para soltar o grito de “é campeão”.

One of Tottenham Hotspur’s reported summer targets has fired a subliminal transfer message that should have Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy on alert.

The Telegraph claimed that Spurs would reassess their interest in Southampton powerhouse Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg after the pandemic as they are unsure how badly their finances will be affected.

It’s also believed that had circumstances been the same as usual, then a bid this summer would be certain given the 24-year-old’s contract situation.

And the Saints skipper has fueled the fire with recent comments to SPORT1, he said:

“I know what I want, the club knows it too.

“I want to play at an even higher level than I am currently. The relationship between me and Southampton is fantastic.

“The club gave me the platform to grow. I’m not saying ‘goodbye’ and I’m focused on my club, but my goal is very clear: I want to win the Premier League and the Champions League.

“I gained a lot of experience [at Bayern Munich] so that I could move on to develop elsewhere. When I was 23 I became a captain in a Premier League club. Now I’m hungry to get to the next level.”

Back in January, Sky Sports reported that the north Londoners would eye Hojbjerg in the summer and cite Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio alongside a £35m fee, but that all remains to be seen given the situation facing English football.

أكد حسين لبيب رئيس اللجنة المكلفة بإدارة نادي الزمالك، بأن اللجنة الجديدة سوف تحل الأزمة المالية التي يمر بها النادي.

وأعلن وزير الرياضة أشرف صبحي تعيين لجنة جديدة لإدارة نادي الزمالك برئاسة حسين لبيب. طالع التفاصيل من هنا.

وقال لبيب في تصريحات إذاعية عبر أثير راديو “أون سبورت”: “قمنا بتكوين لجنة من أبناء النادي والأعضاء العاملين، ووضعنا تصورات معينة، وخلال أسبوعين أو ثلاثة سنعلم جيدًا ماذا سنفعل لحل هذه الأزمة الطاحنة للنادي، بما فيها مستحقات اللاعبين سوء كرة القدم أو الألعاب الأخري”.

وتابع: “سنتسلم النادي من اللجنة المتواجدة، وسنعقد أول اجتماع لنا، ولا توجد قرارات فردية، سنتناقش في جميع الأمور وبعدها سنتخذ القرارات المقتنعين بها، ولدينا تصورات جيدة ولن أفصح عنها، وأي قرار من مجلس الإدارة سيعلن رسميًا”.

وأردف: “سيكون هناك متحدث رسمي للنادي، ولن نظهر ونصرح بأي شيء عبر وسائل الإعلام، وكل هذه سيكون داخل المنظومة الإعلامية”.

وبسؤاله هل سيكون المتحدث الرسمي من داخل مجلس الإدارة أم خارجه؟، أجاب: “سننتظر حتى نأخذ قرارًا في هذا الأمر، لأنه ليس قرارًا فرديًا، وان شاء الله سنصل بالنادي مثلما يتمنى أي مشجع، والمنظومة الإعلامية ستشهد بعض التغيبرات”.

وعن الانتخابات، قال: “من المهام الموكلة إلينا إجراء انتخابات للمجلس الجديد، والمجلس السابق برئاسة مرتضى منصور سينتهي العمل الخاص به، يوم 24 نوفمبر والمجلس الجديد المُنتخب لابد أن يتسلم النادي في ذلك التوقيت، وبالتالي سنفتح باب الانتخاب قبلها من 45 وحتى 60 يومًا”.

واختتم: “أقول لجماهير الزمالك سنعمل على إسعادكم، وأعدهم بأننا سوف نعمل على حل أي مستحقات متأخرة للاعبين، ونجلس مع اللاعبين وسنكون صادقين فيما نقول، فنحن نفتح صفحة بيضاء للجميع وسعداء للتعاون مع أي جهة، ولا نحسب على أي جبهة، وسنحافظ على حقوق النادي كاملة بالعقل والقانون”.

أوضح نادي أنقرة جوجو، الهابط في الساعات القليلة الماضية رسميًا إلى دوري الدرجة الأولى التركي، موقفه من استمرار مهاجم الأهلي المُعار أليو بادجي مع الفريق.

وانتقل بادجي إلى أنقرة جوجو على سبيل الإعارة حتى نهاية الموسم الحالي مقابل 250 ألف دولار، من أجل محاولة تفادي الهبوط، ولكن لم ينجح السنغالي وزملاءه في مهمتهم بعد الخسارة بالأمس أمام قاسم باشا في الجولة التاسعة والثلاثين من الدوري التركي.

Be careful Mr Wilder.

Sheffield United have made a steady start to life back in the Premier League and have taken many people by surprise as they find themselves sitting eighth in the table right now, however, there are some people that are claiming that Chris Wilder’s side are doing it off the back of ‘defensive football’.

What’s he said?

Speaking ahead of the game with Burnley, Wilder was quick to push aside any notions of his side being labelled ‘defensive’:

“It is quite interesting that we’re labelled as a defensive minded team. I don’t really see that. I just think we’re as balanced as possible.

“We’re still trying to create chances and play our own way, even though the standards have gone through the roof from where we were last year.”

The stats would tell a different story

Whilst Wilder’s job is to try and ‘big up’ his team as much as possible and talk about how they are better than they are, the statistics rather contradict his ideas when it comes to talk of the Blades being a ‘balanced’ side.

Indeed, they seem to have found themselves under the cosh for the most part this season.

The club rank 16th in terms of touches taken and passes completed so far this season, 18th in terms of shots taken, whilst they lead the league in clearances (all via the Premier League).

On top of that, the latest expected goals table from Experimental361 shows that they have been incredibly lucky this season with their results as they should be a lot closer to the bottom of the table than they currently are to the top.

Whilst it’s hard to criticise a team like Sheffield United who are certainly exceeding expectations so far this season, you do start to think if maybe this style of play isn’t going to be able to see them through the whole of the season.

Whilst teams may find them hard to break down now, once teams have become adjusted to their system, they’re going to find ways to exploit it, and that is when the real test for Wilder and his men will begin.

Some Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to drool over Mohamed Elyounoussi, after the forward put in a 5-star display against Ross County on Saturday.

The Norway international – who has 24 caps for his country – joined the Bhoys on loan from Southampton back in the summer and has had an exceptional start to life at Celtic Park.

Impressively, the 25-year-old has scored three goals and grabbed two assists in just six appearances, with two of those coming in Saturday’s 6-0 win – he is definitely finding his feet at the club after a nightmarish spell with the Saints, where he wasn’t involved in a single goal in 19 appearances.

One fan below said that the former FC Basel attacker is becoming one of the first names on Neil Lennon’s teamsheet right now, while a few others further down were found raving about Elyounoussi’s footballing intelligence – one said that he has “the biggest football brain at the club”.

Tottenham’s sorry week culminated in a shocking 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Saturday, but maybe it could have been a bit different had Lucas Moura started the match.

Off the Bench

Spurs hadn’t lost to Brighton since their promotion to the Premier League in 2017 but were blown away by the Seagulls, and had no response to their fast start after going 2-0 down inside 32 minutes.

They managed just three shots on target in the entire match and even struggled to keep possession as well as they usually do, with Mauricio Pochettino also leaving it too late to change things.

Lucas Moura got the nod when his side were already three goals down but showed an attitude and desire that had otherwise been missing from his teammates.

The Brazilian also added a spark of quality which was absent, and if he had started – as some Spurs fans wish he was – then the outcome of the match may have been different.

Adding something different

Not for the first time this season, Spurs looked tiresome and lacked ideas on the ball, and crucially lacked pace when going forward with only Son providing an outlet to run in behind.

That aspect of Moura’s play makes him important to Spurs when he features, and he proved against Brighton with two successful dribbles in 17 minutes that he can also run at opponents and take the ball past them.

Had he been able to do that from the off he would likely have moved his side into Brighton’s final third more frequently and with that more chances would probably have arisen.

According to WhoScored, the £23m man also managed a pass success rate of 89% and had two shots, which showed that he worked well with teammates to create chances for himself and was heavily involved despite not being on the pitch for long, which could persuade his manager that he deserves a start.
