Além do dilema entre cumprir a promessa de manter seu elenco até o fim da temporada e negociar jogadores com o futebol europeu para aliviar o comprometido caixa, a diretoria do Santos terá novo quebra-cabeça pela frente.

Apesar de ter “escolhido” o volante Thiago Maia para ser vendido ao futebol europeu nesta janela e já discutir com Napoli e Chelsea, o Peixe não terá vida fácil para manter Gabigol e Zeca até o fim do ano.

Em evidência no mercado, principalmente pela disputa dos Jogos Olímpicos pela Seleção, a dupla desperta interesse de diversos clubes. Ciente disso, a diretoria alvinegra sabe que terá de “recompensá-los” em caso de permanência e pode inflacionar ainda mais os gastos mensais e a folha salarial do time.

O caso mais “simples” de ser resolvido é do atacante Gabigol. Antes dos Jogos, Santos e o atacante chegaram a um termo para renovar o vínculo que se encerra em 2019 até 2021. No novo acordo, Gabigol seria um dos mais bem pagos.

Já em relação a Zeca, a diretoria inicialmente não tem a intenção de oferecer reajustes aos vencimentos do lateral. O estafe do jogador, entretanto, admite nos bastidores que um aumento salarial será decisivo pela permanência até 2017.

No início deste ano, valorizado e já assediado, Zeca recebeu aumento e passou a ganhar R$ 80 mil mensais. Agora, após proposta do Atlético de Madrid recusada durante o Paulistão, o estafe do lateral quer reajuste para R$ 150 mil por mês.

Como o PSG também se aproximou de Zeca recentemente, o lateral-esquerdo espera que a diretoria aceite o reajuste caso opte por recusar nova investida em seu futebol.

Manchester City continued their march towards a potential quadruple in March, winning five of their six games this month, which saw them progress in the FA Cup and Champions League, whilst also pushing themselves closer to the Premier League title.

Although Pep Guardiola’s side have undoubtedly been in sensational form in recent months, not all of his players have been at their best and Bernardo Silva, in particular, had a disappointing month.

The Portuguese forward appeared in all five of City’s wins, in which they managed 16 goals, and yet the former AS Monaco man failed to register a single goal or assist.

The 26-year-old has been utilised in a number of different positions by Guardiola this season, featuring as a false nine, on the wing and in midfield, yet he struggled to really have much influence on any of the games he appeared in during March.

His first appearance came in the 4-1 win against Wolves, where he earned a solid, if unspectacular, 6.7 rating – which is lower than his 7.09 average in the top-flight so far this season.

He followed that up with two fairly strong performances against Southampton and Fulham, although when you consider the number of chances City had in both of those games, it is disappointing that he wasn’t able to get himself on the scoresheet or provide an assist.

This may have knocked his confidence, as he then slipped back down to a 6.7 rating for his performance against Borussia Monchengladbach, before producing his worst display of the month against Everton last time out, earning a less than impressive 6.37 rating for his performance.

After recent seasons where he has been a solid contributor of goals and assists, his measly return of two goals and three assists in just 22 Premier League appearances this season is slightly concerning, and also baffling when you consider how dominant City have been in recent months.

Therefore, you could definitely argue that Silva, who is currently valued at £63 million by Transfermarkt, dropped his standards in March after an impressive February, as he once again failed to contribute a single goal or assist in all competitions.

أوضح الفرنسي باتريس كارتيرون، المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي الزمالك، حقيقة رحيله عن القلعة البيضاء خلال الفترة المُقبلة.

وترددت أنباء في الآونة الأخيرة، عن اقتراب رحيل كارتيرون عن تدريب الفريق، بسبب عدم حصوله على مستحقاته.

وقال كارتيرون خلال تصريحاته بالمؤتمر الصحفي عقب مباراة إنبي بكأس الرابطة: “تركيزي الأهم في الوقت الحالي هو مع الفريق واللاعبين”.

وأضاف: “أسمع شائعات كثيرة في الفترة الماضية عن رحيلي، لكن أنا في الزمالك وأركز في الملعب ومباريات الفريق المُقبلة”.

يذكر أن، الزمالك تعادل سلبيا مع إنبي، اليوم، في المباراة التي جمعت الفريقين ضمن منافسات الجولة الأولى من بطولة كأس الرابطة.

The Norwegian boasts a phenomenal goal record with RB Salzburg and Dortmund in his career thus far and is perhaps regarded by a lot of City fans as the ideal man to take Guardiola’s side to the next level in the coming years.

However, whilst the £99m-rated striker can come off as slightly robotic in his attitude to scoring goals and playing football, particularly in post-match interviews, his latest display emphasises that he is in fact human and therefore capable of mistakes, as he endured a nightmare display for Norway against Gibraltar earlier this week.

As per SofaScore, the wonderkid earned a shocking 5.1 match rating for his display, which was the worst of any player who featured in the game.

He was foiled on a number of occasions by Gibraltar goalkeeper Dayle Coleing, who seemingly made it his personal mission to deny Haaland a goal by pulling off a remarkable 12 saves during the 90 minutes.

The Dortmund striker had four shots on target during the game but failed to score, whilst he also somehow contrived to miss five big chances in his 62 minutes on the pitch before being replaced.

His last game with Dortmund before the international break was also a source of controversy, as he rescued a point for BVB with a late equaliser, which was his second goal of the match, before storming down the tunnel.

This makes you wonder whether the striker would be the saviour City are looking for ahead of next season, as whilst he would undoubtedly score plenty of goals for the Citizens, you could argue that he seems more concerned with scoring himself than winning at times.

His performance against Gibraltar also emphasised that, when he isn’t scoring, he doesn’t offer too much from a build-up perspective, as he managed no key passes, no dribbles and just 10 passes during his time on the pitch, which again doesn’t seem suited to the type of striker Guardiola would want.

Therefore, when you consider the fact that Dortmund reportedly want €180m (£154m) for Haaland this summer, the Norwegian may not be the saviour to City’s centre-forward problems next season.

West Ham United are increasingly confident that Angelo Ogbonna will return from injury shortly after the international break.

That’s according to Claret & Hugh, who claim that the Italian is expected to be available to David Moyes for next month’s clash with top-four rivals Leicester City or the following trip to Newcastle United.

Ogbonna has missed the Hammers’ last six Premier League games after sustaining a high ankle sprain in the FA Cup fifth-round defeat to Manchester United on February 9.

West Ham’s medical team and backroom staff have been pleased with the progress seen from Ogbonna in recent weeks, to believe he is now only one or two games from a return.

Moyes had confirmed that Ogbonna was closing in on a return to fitness ahead of last weekend’s 3-3 draw with Arsenal, but poured cold on an imminent appearance.

“We’ve got just about everybody the same [as against Manchester United],” Moyes said last Friday. “Pablo Fornals is improving, and, on the injury front, Angelo Ogbonna is closing in and getting much closer to fitness but he’s a wee bit away.”

West Ham’s increasing confidence in Ogbonna’s recovery will hand Moyes a huge boost coming out of the international break next week, with Pablo Fornals expected to be made available for the trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday, April 5th.

Fornals missed the Gunners’ visit to the London Stadium with a groin injury but should be included in the travelling squad at Molineux, along with Arthur Masuaku (knee) and Andriy Yarmolenko (knee), per Claret & Hugh.

Having the quartet all available should soon see the numbers in the Irons’ treatment room reduce drastically, with Ryan Fredericks (groin) the sole additional name Moyes mentioned when speaking to the media last week.

West Ham expecting Ogbonna to be passed fit to face Leicester on April 11th or Newcastle six days later may be a boost for Moyes, but it comes as a problem for Issa Diop.

The Frenchman has stood in for Ogbonna beside Craig Dawson in each Premier League game that the Italian has missed so far, in a reprieve after Moyes had only awarded Diop 117 minutes of top-flight action between mid-September and February.

Diop made himself the Hammers’ hero against Sheffield United on his return to action by producing a resolute showing at home to the Bramall Lane natives, yet his performances have dropped off in more recent weeks.

The £67,000-per-week centre-half was often indecisive against Manchester United and left West Ham woefully exposed midway through the second half when caught on the ball, allowing the Red Devils to break four-on-two.

He was not without fault in the draw with Arsenal last time out, either, as the Irons seemed to try to stand off after the break which invited the Gunners to attack.

“West Ham came and pressed them, they tried to win the ball high up and Arsenal just didn’t get it right,” Paul Merson wrote in his column for Sky Sports.

“For the players, as soon as the shackles are off and they have nothing to lose, they can play. But at the same time, I think West Ham helped with that because they sat back so deep, that they invited Arsenal onto them. And if you give them that much time and defend on the edge of your box, they will open you up by the end of the game.”

Diop’s positioning was a fault labelled at him toward the end of last season by football.london, as well, who claimed he had regressed to look shaky in possession, unsure where to stand and was ‘lucky’ to have Ogbonna beside him.

Another performance from Diop like those he produced against Arsenal and Man United could be all the evidence Moyes needs to bring Ogbonna back against Leicester, making next month’s trip to Wolves potentially Diop’s final chance to impress.
