A record-breaking performance by Owen Morgan helped Glamorgan pull away from the bottom of the Division Two table by beating Worcestershire by five wickets in the Specsavers County Championship at New Road.Morgan, the 22-year-old Swansea-born allrounder, became the first Glamorgan nightwatchman to make a century, reaching an unbeaten 103 with a boundary from the last shot of the match. The county’s previous highest score in this role was 84 by Colin Metson against Kent at Maidstone in 1991.Morgan is a middle-order player in second-team cricket and here, in only his fourth Championship appearance, he looked a more-than-accomplished batsman in facing 242 balls over five hours and 37 minutes.Compact and disciplined but not without fluency, especially in his off-side strokes, he hit 13 fours and kept a level head as Glamorgan tiptoed towards their target of 277. Their second win of the summer was completed with almost 18 overs to spare.”Not in wildest imagination did I think I’d be there at the end,” Morgan said. “My main target was to stay there for the first hour but from there thankfully I managed to bat the whole day and get the side over the line.”Not until Aneurin Donald came in at the end did I think I’d see it through. Journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Bayern Munich won't be triggering a clause to sign Joao Cancelo this summer, which opens the door for an Arsenal transfer.

What's the latest on Cancelo, Arsenal, Man City and Bayern?

In January, the right-back left Manchester City in somewhat acrimonious fashion, heading to the Bundesliga on loan after apparently being unhappy with his game time at the Etihad Stadium.

At the time, it was reported that Bayern had an option within the deal to make it a permanent transfer at the end of the season for around £61m (€70m).

While speaking about this on his YouTube channel, Romano how now revealed that the German team's board have had no intention of triggering this clause.

This could be great news for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal who have been linked with making a potential summer move for the right-back.

Romano explained the current situation for Cancelo, saying: “It's also crucial to say that now with the new board that they have to make a decision and a decision is already made by Bayern on Joao Cancelo.

"No matter what it's going to happen with the new director Bayern will not trigger the 70 million euros clause, the buy option, for Joao Cancelo.

"So formally Joao Cancelo will return to Manchester City. Now the new board has to decide if they want to negotiate to buy Cancelo, or if they want to leave the topic.

"From what I understand the old board had no concrete plans, no concrete talks, to negotiate for Cancelo. So it was a big opportunity for Cancelo to go elsewhere.

"Now with the new board, let's see what they will decide but for sure, no intention to trigger the 70 million euros option."

How much is Cancelo worth?

Bayern of course won the league title in dramatic fashion this weekend before then immediately sacking key board members Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic.

This could potentially mean their replacement arrive and decide they do want to buy Cancelo but having already opted against paying the £61m option, they would have to renegotiate with Man City.

And so, in this potential scenario, Arsenal would still be able to come in at the same time and offer their own terms to get the deal done.

And seeing as Cancelo has now won the Bundesliga – to add to his Premier League, Serie A and Primeira Liga titles – he's certainly an attractive option.

However, with that fee of over £60m already being touted, as well as his £255k-p/w wages, he certainly wouldn't come for cheap.

وكان الشعباني قاد الترجي للفوز ببطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا مرتين، الأولى عام 2018 على حساب الأهلي، والثانية في العام التالي على حساب الوداد الرياضي، فيما ودّع الفريق النسخة الماضية بالخسارة أمام الأهلي المصري في نصف النهائي.

وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن نادي نهضة بركان يحتل المركز الثالث في بطولة الدوري المغربي للمحترفين “إنوي” برصيد 29 نقطة، وبفارق 8 نقاط عن ثنائي الصدارة.

Chelsea as a whole this season have resembled a spluttering old car struggling to get out of second gear.

The garage has attempted to give it a facelift and a new lick of paint but the inner parts continue to trouble its owner.

Though, however glum the campaign looked there is a light at the end of the tunnel in the form of several young players tipped for the top.

British record signing Enzo Fernandez has widely been recognised as the new Cesc Fabregas in this Chelsea team, while there is a hope that Mykhailo Mudryk finally comes good out wide.

That said, the Blues can be under no illusions that their ageing midfield and lack of cutting-edge up top is a huge problem.

Todd Boehly is making moves to improve the former though, with Jorginho already moved on in January and N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic tipped for summer departures. Incomings are also being plotted behind the scenes.

What's the latest Chelsea transfer news?

Boehly was moving quickly in the market with a £52m deal for Uruguay colossus Manuel Ugarte initially looking close to completion. Such a move would have calmd the nerves ahead of a window in which they could lose one of their prized possessions; Mason Mount.

However, a move now looks to be in danger with PSG reportedly offering a better package for the player.

Another move on the table could be that of Moises Caicedo, with Chelsea reportedly the favourites to secure a switch that could cost in the region of £90m.

Who do Ugarte and Caicedo play like?

We have already mentioned Fabregas and in the aforementioned targets, incoming boss Mauricio Pochettino could unearth Stamford Bridge's new Kante and Nemanja Matic.

The Blues have struggled to find such a fluid midfield since the days of that trio but the signs are positive that the Londoners could be reborn with some like-minded faces in the middle of the park.

Such a comparison may well be lofty but they are warranted despite the tender ages of 22-year-old Ugarte and 21-year-old Caicedo.

The former has already been compared to Chelsea's current French enforcer by writer Zach Lowy who once said: "Similarly to a younger Kante, there are games where it seems he’s doing the defensive work of two players. He’s relentless."

That is shown in the numbers too with the Sporting CP monster winning more tackles (121) than anyone in Portugal's top flight and more tackles (29) than anyone in this season's Champions League.

Winning back the ball is a trait well-known to Kante who by March in the 2020/21 campaign, had made more tackles and interceptions combined than any player in the Premier League.

Caicedo too boasts the ability to win back the ball but his style of play is certainly more similar to the aggressive Matic. In fact, the Ecuadorian is the seventh most similar player to the Serbian veteran in Europe's top five leagues, as per FBref.

The former Chelsea man is now enjoying his football at Roma and has registered some similar statistics to the Brighton youngster.

Although the pairing are comfortable on the ball, they tend to leave the progression of the play to their peers, shown in the fact Caicedo made 43.2 carries per 90 minutes this season to Matic's 44.1.

They also made a very similar number of tackles throughout the 2022/23 campaign with the ex-Blue making 2.32 to the Chelsea target's 2.87 per 90.

Not just content in the defensive phase, they contribute with similar regularity in the final third with the Ecuador international amassing 2.52 shot-creating actions to his peer's 2.41 every 90.

The parallels are clearly there and should Pochettino be able to bring both of these top talents to London this summer, he would be armed with two defensive machines capable of replicating the better days of before at Stamford Bridge.

Olympic champion Usain Bolt has claimed that Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford could actually beat him in a 20-yard sprint.

It was a pretty impressive season all told for the English forward. After all, not only did he help the Red Devils win the League Cup and secure Champions League football, he also netted 30 goals in all competitions – making him the first MUFC player since Robin van Persie in 2012/13 to hit that total.

So what does all this have to do with Bolt?

Well, the world’s fastest man – who holds the 100m, 200m and 4x100m records in both the Olympics and World Championships – is taking part in Soccer Aid this weekend and will captain the World XI who take on England at Old Trafford.

Consequently, he's been in the UK this week and has taken the time to talk about Man United, the club he supports, recently on talkSPORT.

During the interview, co-host Darren Bent asked him who would be quicker in a race between Bolt and Rashford, and the Jamaican came up with a bit of a surprising answer.

Bent said: “I read an article where you said that Rashford could beat you over 20 yards, is that correct?”

Bolt replied: “Yeah! Rashford is quick out the blocks, that is what he does.

“He has that burst of speed but after that, I told him, you could probably get me in 20 [yards].

“But after that, it is over!”

How fast can Usain Bolt run?

So there you have it, Rashford might be quicker over a shorter distance but if they were racing 100 yards, the Englishman probably wouldn't be able to keep up.

According to Speeds DB – a database that can tell you the top speed of anything – the Man Utd winger can run at 33.30 km/h (or 20.69 mp/h), while Bolt's top speed is 44.72 km/h (27.79 mp/h), which shows the real disparity between the two.

Bolt also provided his thoughts on how the Red Devils have been playing of late, saying: “[The season] has been positive. I wish we won the FA Cup but it is just one of those things.

“We got one trophy and we are in the top four. The way we were looking for the past couple of seasons, this is just positive moment.

“I am just happy that we have a great coach that is really getting the team together. Hopefully, we can get some good players to add to the team and challenge for the league because it is going to be tough.”
